How It All Began — Jessie and Avery first met through Bumble while Jessie was traveling for work in South Carolina. One photo of Avery riding a one-eyed horse caught her attention—though she later found out it wasn’t even his horse! For their first date, Avery invited Jessie to go bowling. They were so nervous they sped through the entire game in under 45 minutes! But nerves quickly gave way to laughter as they discovered their shared faith, love of music, and the same sense of humor. On June 10, 2023, Avery asked Jessie to be his girlfriend, and from that point on, they were inseparable—aside from Jessie’s work travels. They quickly bonded over their love for fishing, kayaking, hiking, reading, and playing cards and board games. Before long, they realized they weren’t just dating—they were best friends. Building a Life Together — The couple moved into a cozy duplex on December 13, 2023, and by November 22, 2024, they were engaged! Along the way, they learned a few important things: Avery loves to eat and Jessie loves to cook. Zima (their cat) is scared of just about everything. Sometimes eating out is cheaper. Chance (their angel fur baby) will eat just about anything. And Avery is so unbeatable at Monopoly that it’s officially banned in their home. They’re happiest just being together—whether at home or on a relaxing vacation. Meet the Family — Avery and Jessie share their home with two cats, Zima and Tilly, and they hold close the memory of their beloved angel pup, Mr. Chance. Looking Ahead — Avery and Jessie are beyond excited to celebrate their big day with you, and can’t wait to start this next chapter surrounded by the people they love most.
