The Backstory: We met online, and chatted for quite a few months before we actually met face-to-face. We instantly bonded over spaghetti and Mountain Dew. A year later, after falling in love with Dana and her kids, Cody decided to make the leap and move in with them. Fast forward another year, and Dana had been giving Cody flack about not wanting to get married. Little did she know he already had a ring, and she had walked by it 100 times at his parent's house. The proposal: We went to Cody's parents for a relaxed Saturday afternoon. Cody's mom suggested we should take a ride up to Greenwood Falls to see how much water was flowing through. Unbeknownst to me, Cody had the ring. As we walked to the falls I asked Cody if he was going to be sick, because he was so pale white. His parents hung back and pretended to take photos of the leaves. As I was standing at the top of the falls, Cody pointed at a tree and said "Hey look at that!". Confused, I turned and looked back to see him on one knee. My ever-so-classy reply was "Are you F***ing serious?!?", Followed by a "YES!!!!" Our Big Day: We are having an outdoor, late summer wedding at Tanner Creek Farm in Dekalb Junction, NY. The ceremony will be next to one of the amazing ponds and our reception will be held in the 150 year-old refurbished barn on the property.
