Woody was hanging out watching sports with friends at Brookhaven. Kristyn had just finished up with a Christmas party with co-workers. Earlier in the night Woody noticed a beautiful lady sitting with friends and made his mind up that he had to meet her. As the night went on he noticed a twinkle in her eye. He wasn't sure if it was a sign or the mimosas. Never the less, he made his way to her table and ask if they wanted to join him and his friends. When he approached the table Kristyn's friends said they were about to leave but she promised to join Woody and his friends once they left. True to her word Kristyn came to their table and hung out. Once arriving at the table a conversation quickly came up about Italian Fest. Turns out Kristyn has been a committee member for years. Ben Ryder and Woody having been part of an Italian Fest team for years talked to her for about an hour before Woody had to leave. The following week Ben and Woody were having dinner at Patrick's when out of the blue Kristyn walks in the door. I know what your thinking...stalker. In all fairness, we couldn't figure out how we knew her until she approached the table and mentioned the Memphis Italian Festival. Immediately Woody's mind went back to that chilly December night when they first met. It was like a spark was reignited in his heart. He invited Kristyn to his Christmas Party that upcoming Saturday in hopes that she would come and meet his friends. When he found out she was meeting another guy at Patrick's later that evening his heart sank. Unable to take the pain he retreated to his house without saying goodbye. Little did Woody know, Kristyn's feeling for him were the same. After spending a short time with her date she realized that it was Woody that she cared for all along. She circled back and asked Matt Davis, her server at Patrick's, for Woody's phone number. Little did they know that chance encounter would lead us to where we are today.

Woody came over to watch church with Kristyn and the girls that Sunday morning. Little did she know she was in for a big surprise. Woody had met with the girls earlier that week and let them in on the plan to propose. When he showed up that morning he popped the question in the living room with the girls present. Luckily Kristyn said yes. Prior to the proposal, Woody arranged for both families to meet for brunch at Owen Brennan's. Everyone was there to celebrate the engagement.
