Travel

Below are some suggestions for traveling to Austin. We recommend that travel plans be made by the end of July as things in Austin for October are likely to be busy!

House Or Rental

Airbnb

Austin has a lot of Airbnb's in the 78704 neighborhood (near our home and downtown Austin). If you want something a bit more private (and maybe less expensive) than a hotel, we recommend you check them out!

Flight

Austin Bergstrom Airport

The Austin airport is small and has mostly Southwest flights although other airlines also fly here. We recommend folks fly in Friday evening so they can enjoy Austin all day on Saturday. For those coming from Baltimore, there is a nonstop Southwest flight (#1226) leaving at 7:20 pm and landing in Austin at 9:50 pm Friday night (10/15). Fares will range from $170 to $250 for that flight. For those heading out on Sunday, flights at or after 4:00 pm are feasible to make following the ceremony and brunch on Sunday AM.

Travel Note

Hotels Near Us

There are many fine hotels located near both our home and the event venue. Hotels in downtown Austin may be quite expensive so looking in the 78704, 78702, or 78745 zip codes may serve you well. A few places you may want to check out include: The Carpenter Hotel Omni Austin South Park Omni Austin Downtown Staybridge Suites Austin S. Interstate Hwy 35 Hampton Inn & Suites @ The University/Capitol Double Tree Suites (by Hilton Hotels) Austin Hyatt House Austin/Downtown
