FAQs

Thank you for wanting to be a part of our wedding weekend! We can't wait to celebrate with you.
Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Due to our ceremony and reception locations, we encourage our guests to take a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' approach when it comes to lodging. If you are invited to the ceremony, and would like to stay in the Highland Park area, we suggest looking into the Deer Path Inn for a more high-end, luxurious experience. A more budget-friendly option, while still being Uber-able to the ceremony and reception locales, is the Courtyard by Marriott in Highland Park/Northbrook. If you are looking for a more Chicago-based experience, and want to stay a walkable distance to the reception venue, we recommend looking at: Hampton Inn Chicago McCormick Place Home2 Suites by Hilton Chicago McCormick Place Hilton Garden Inn Chicago McCormick Place. Note: We cannot book a wedding guest block at any of these. Apologies, we tried! If you're looking for a more unique, 'Chicago' experience we highly recommend checking out: The Hoxton in West Loop (stay right in 'Restaurant Row', rooftop pool, easy Uber to/from the reception venue) or consider the iconic Hilton Chicago right on Michigan Ave overlooking Grant Park. AirBnb/VRBOs are definitely an option as well. If you need any help deciding, let us know!

Question

I'm staying downtown - how do I get to the Ceremony in HP?

Answer

Uber is your best option here but you could also drive/rent a car or arrange to take the Metra. It will be a 30-mile, 40-60 min drive. Google estimates $50/ride. Depending on where everyone ends up staying, we could try to put some folks together to split UberXLs to lower travel costs. If you drive, street parking is available. It's free and we'll have a permit ready for you to put on your dash. The Metra (UP-N line) is honestly a really fun option! You can hop on at the Ogilvy station in the heart of the loop and there is a Fort Sheridan stop where you could take a 0.7 mile nature walk or we'll have someone at the house come scoop you. Great for groups, feel free to bring a boozy drink for the 1-hour ride up the North Shore.

Question

I'm staying in the burbs - how do I get to the Reception in Chicago?

Answer

You're in good company! We will likely arrange for a party bus to go from Olivia's parent's home in Highland Park to and from Duneyrr. You can leave your car there or Uber from your hotel to/from their home pre/post party bus. We will need a head count for how many people are interested in this option ASAP and work out the details closer to the date.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Yes! Kids are allows and you do not have to be 21+ to come to the reception even though it is a brewing facility. Please pay close attention to your invite and feel free to reach out to us directly with any questions.

Question

I want to celebrate but I can't swing both events. What should I do?

Answer

We totally get it! Please plan to attend the Reception on Saturday as space is very limited for the Ceremony. Speeches, toasts, cake and dancing will all be happening at the Reception!
