We will be staying at Hotel Costa Verde from Feb 4th-7th, along with most of the wedding party and our immediate families. There are many other hotels listed on the wedding website as well as amazing Air BnB's in the area. Feel free to stay wherever you like, remembering that the wedding shuttles will do pick-ups at The Hotel to/from the private beach, as well at the catamaran cruise on Friday.
Enter your first and last name to unlock your RSVP form. Because our wedding is small and very intimate we weren't able to give out many plus ones. If you're responding for yourself and admitted a plus one you'll be able to do so at the same time. There may be a name attached already for couples. We hope you understand our decision to make the wedding children-free. Take the opportunity to let your hair down and celebrate in style!
Dressy Casual Attire. It's hot and humid in Costa Rica. We of course want you to be comfortable, which is hard when dealing with sand, water, and sunscreen. Dress as elegantly as possible, while still considering the elements! There will be multiple busses shuttling our guests from Hotel Costa Verde to the private beach and back, so you wont have to walk far. However, we will be married on the beach so you might want to rethink stilettos!
We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This just means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent or turned off during the ceremony. We've hired a professional photographer to capture this special moment in our lives, and we ask that you be fully present with us. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want! And we promise to share the ceremony photos as soon as we get them!
We have the Wedding Pavilion until 10:00pm. There will be shuttles at the hotel that you can get a ride home from if you are staying off property. We might also decide to have an afterparty at one of the local beach bars depending on restrictions (TBD).
Please do! We can easily accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free diets with advanced notice. Our Menu should be updated by Sept 26th!
Costa Rica opened back up for tourism in November 2020 and the country has eased restrictions in recent weeks. Starting August 1, fully vaccinated adults and anyone under the age of 18 (regardless of vaccination status) have been exempt from the requirement for travel insurance. Anyone not fully vaccinated must have insurance which covers potential quarantine accommodation up to $2,000 and medical expenses of at least $50,000 related to Covid-19. This must be accompanied by a certificate in English or Spanish, giving the policyholder's name, the dates of coverage and guarantees as stipulated above. Things are getting back to a relative normal. National parks and beaches are open -- the latter till 6 p.m.. Restaurants and bars have reopened, but clubs have not, and concerts and large groups are banned. For more information visit: https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/costa-rica-travel-covid-19/index.html.
