Denver International Airport

The most common way to get to Vail is to fly into Denver International Airport (DIA) and either rent a car or take the Colorado Mountain Express up to Vail. Once in Vail, unless you would like to explore the surrounding mountains and towns, a car is not necessary. Vail has an incredible complimentary bus system that runs daily from 6 am - 1:30 am from East to West Vail and arrives usually every 3-15 minutes. This is also the best way to get from Vail Village over to Lionshead for Friday night (although I highly recommend the walk! ~ 1 mile)

Located at the base of the Lionshead gondola, this is where Friday night's Welcome Party will be hosted and also where the Woodsmall family has owned a condo ever since Vail was first beginning to build its town in 1970. The Lodge at Vail

The Lodge is located in Vail Village at the base of the gondola. It is close to all the shops, restaurants, Sunday farmer's market, and more. It is just a short 5-10 minute bus ride to Lionshead for Friday night's festivities.

Evergreen Lodge at Vail

Evergreen Lodge is a good option for those on a budget that would like to stay in Vail. Located just between Lionshead and Vail Village it is prime location for activities anywhere in the Valley! It also contains the only KU bar in Vail. Evergreen Lodge is part of the bus route.

While flights are often more expensive to Eagle, this airport is 30 minutes from Vail and extremely easy to navigate. To find, search flights to Eagle, CO. Sometimes the hassle to avoid Denver and I-70 is worth it....
