Mark and I met on teacher convention weekend in Ocean City, MD. A few of my Annapolis girlfriends decided to take a road trip to have a girls' weekend and to attend the convention. On Saturday night we went to go see our friends band, Scott's New Band, who is now our wedding band. I spotted Mark and his cousin Rob across the room. We hit it off and spent a few years in a long distance relationship. He proposed on June 10, 2017 on the beach where my family used to go on 10th street. We had lunch at Alaska Stand where my family would grab lunch on weekends and he knew it reminded me of my grandmother. We parked on Wood Lane where my Dad and Granddad owned a Texaco gas station. The proposal was so sweet and one of the fondest memories of my life. He really did a great job with the delivery by including my family and memories in the proposal.
