Things To Do/Our Favorite Stops
The Charm (Near Church)
Fair warning: there’s a whole lot of nothing to do near church unless you count The Charm (Metamora’s claim to fame - aka one and only restaurant) as a local attraction... which, honestly, we kind of do. They are known for a great breakfast and the best pies in town after lunch. It will be worth stopping there before or between the ceremony and the reception, our favorite spot are the window booths! Just keep in mind, our venue - WW Knight Nature Preserve is about a 40‑minute drive from the church.
Hood Park & Riverside Park
Hood and Riverside Parks are so special to us. Brad took me to Hood Park on our very first date and it’s lovingly been "Our Spot" ever since. It is where we got engaged and where our engagement pictures under the Gallery tab were taken. We have spent so many evenings on the docks watching sunsets and soaking it all in together. It’s our little slice of peace and you can for sure find us here often!
Woodlands Park
Also on our first date, Brad took me to see the incredible sculptures at Woodlands Park and we have loved it ever since. We walk and bike here often and definitely recommend checking out the art when you are in town!
W. W. Knight Nature Preserve
Of course, we can’t forget about our beautiful venue! If you feel like exploring during the welcome hour, you will find hiking trails and boardwalks winding through wetlands, woods, native prairies and even a peaceful pond. The lodge's doors open at 5pm and please be in your seats by 5:40 pm for the grand entrances!
Reset Arcade
One of our absolute favorite date night spots! Reset Arcade has free vintage arcade games (yes, you read that right — free!), mini bowling for a fee, plus outside volleyball and a cozy bonfire area. It’s the perfect mix of fun and chill vibes. We honestly wish there were more places around us like this! Great food, great atmosphere and such a fun spot to hang out!
577 Foundation (free)
A hidden gem in Perrysburg! The 577 Foundation is home to gorgeous gardens, a unique biodome (with goldfish you can feed!), peaceful walking paths in the park and stunning views of the Maumee River. It’s the perfect spot to slow down, take in nature and enjoy the fresh air!
O-Deer Ice Cream and Diner
10/10 We WOULD recommend! Great ice cream, location and outdoor seating area! You will definitely find us here every summer!
Mr. Freeze Ice Cream
For a sweet treat, this little neighborhood spot is iconic and they seriously have the best ice cream sundaes. Just don’t forget to bring cash!
Extra Virgin ~ Lamplight Cafe & Bakery
Our favorite breakfast and brunch spot in walkable downtown Perrysburg! Cozy and charming, with amazing food and welcoming vibe!
