Explore the Freedom Trail
It's a rite of passage to spend some time on the 2.5-mile freedom trail. Book a guided tour or just make the walk yourself (you can download maps and information for a small fee). Look for the line of tiles on the ground leading you to each stop.
Faneuil Hall Marketplace
Faneuil Hall Marketplace is a must for shopping, food, and experiencing Boston history.
Walk Around the North End
The North End is walkable from the Boxer Boston and is one of the oldest places in the city. Check out this Italian neighborhood to feel like you've gone back in time (and to eat some great food!).
Boston Public Library
The BPL is *stunning.* Go for the art and architecture alone, but stay for the bar serving both coffee and cocktails on the first floor. There's even a Courtyard Tea Room where you can reserve a table for a quintessential afternoon tea experience!
New England Aquarium
A great family-friendly destination and a world-class aquarium that even has touch tanks with sharks and sting rays.
Walk Around Back Bay
Known for its Victorian brownstones and great shopping, Back Bay is an awesome neighborhood to wander through. When you get tired, stop in at any restaurant for a flight of oysters or a refreshing drink.
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
This museum has one of the most stunning courtyards you'll find outside of Europe, and it was also the site of a famous art heist (check out the documentary "This is a Robbery" on Netflix).
Fenway Park
You can book a tour of the iconic Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox, or just wander the area where there are lots of great bars and shops.
Museum of Science
Make one remarkable discovery after another at the Museum of Science! With over 700 interactive exhibits, there is something for everyone.
Salem, MA
Salem is about an hour outside of Boston, but you can take the T or even Uber depending on the time of day. David and Adrienne got engaged in the park next to Pioneer village. Summer is honestly the ideal time to visit because you won't have to deal with the Halloween crowds, but you can still see all the sights!
Provincetown, MA (Cape Cod)
Take the 90-min ferry to Provincetown, MA (or Ptown as it's called locally) to say you visited the tip of Cape Cod. You'll experience incredible shopping, art, seafood, and culture – and there's no better time to visit than during Pride Month!
Cisco Brewers Seaport
One of our favorite outdoor places to go in the summer that has something for everyone (great beer, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks). There's usually live music and food. Adrienne's favorite drinks are the Nantucket RISE (like an espresso martini in a can!) and David loves the Nantucket Blue (Blueberry vodka + soda in a can). You can't go wrong!

The local Michigan alumni bar in Boston! Think: Connor O'Neill's on Main St. in Ann Arbor.
City Winery Boston
This great local winery is a 5-minute walk from the Boxer Hotel.
Mighty Squirrel Brewery
A beloved local Boston brewery, there's a location within walking distance of our house in the suburbs. Try the hard smoothies or the cloud candy IPA!
Trillium Brewing Co.
Another great local brewery in the Fenway area with an outdoor patio in the summer.
Borrachito Taqueria & Spirits - Speakeasy
Borrachito is such a fun speakeasy with great drinks and food/brunch. To get inside, you have to walk through a freezer door. Do NOT sleep on the Business Class Margarita with clarified tequila - the best margarita Adrienne has ever had in her life, and well worth the $20 price tag.
Hecate Speakeasy
In the mood for something witchy but don't want to make the trek to Salem? Check out Hecate, a spooky speakeasy in Back Bay with incredible cocktails. You'll need a reservation to get in.
