We met the weekend of Maddy & Kyle Hillmann's wedding in September 2018. Throughout the weekend's wedding festivities, we gravitated toward each other and talked every chance we could. We hung out most of the wedding night and stayed up talking all night (well, Alexis did most of the talking while Andrew tried to stay awake). After the wedding, we went our separate ways. Andrew went home to Minot, ND and Alexis to St. Paul, MN. We stayed in touch and found ourselves talking on the phone for hours and texting quite a bit. We took turns visiting each other and eventually made it official. We did long-distance for 2.5 years. During that time, we cherished our short visits and phone calls and dreamed of a time when we would live in the same state. Flash forward to May 2021, Andrew moved to MN. We spent the summer of 2021 going on walks and enjoying life's mundane and ordinary moments. It truly was a dream come true! We got engaged in July 2021 and are so excited to continue to invest in each other and build our lives together. We are looking forward to celebrating with you on our wedding day!
