A little lost? Please check out the map above and follow the path to the red area. There are signs throughout the park that will direct you to the wedding! Otherwise, put in the "Observation Tower" into your maps for it to direct you to the parking lot outside of our venue.

What is the dress code?

Answer

This is a semi-formal event and we request that you wear semi-formal attire. We ask that you do not wear jeans and avoid whites, ivory, or creams. The bridesmaids will be in a blue similar to the background of our website and ask that you stray from that shade of blue in particular.

Are kids invited to the event?

Answer

We love your kids, but this will be an adults only event! Unless explicitly stated on the invitation, please take this night to enjoy some time away as we celebrate together. We appreciate your understanding.

Will there be a vegetarian option?

Answer

Yes! Please indicate that you require a vegetarian meal on your RSVP so we are able to accommodate.

Is there a cost to get into the park?

Answer

There is a $7 daily park fee but when you arrive, state you are with the Dickhaut Wedding and will be added to our list. If you have a Nebraska State Park Annual pass, we appreciate you using your pass to enter the park for our wedding.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The wedding will begin promptly at 4:30 so please plan to be in your seats no later than 10-15 minutes before hand! Please give yourself plenty of time to navigate to the back of the park where the lodge is located.

Will the event be outside?

Answer

Weather permitting the ceremony will be outside. Following the ceremony, the rest of the night is planned for indoors but the patio will be available for mingling.

Is there transportation provided?

Answer

There will not be a shuttle or other transportation following the event. If you intend to drink alcoholic beverages at the reception, plan accordingly to make it home safely.

Is there going to be an open bar?

Answer

There will be self-serve beer, wine, and seltzers available to our guests. There will be no hard alcohol served and request that our guests drink responsibility for this special day.

When will the event end?

Answer

All good things must come to end! We must be out of the building by 10pm. The newly weds private last dance will take place at 9:30 so please make sure to have arrangements for the night to come to a close at that time.
