613 Royal St New Orleans, LA 70130
No need to send anything back in the mail, all RSVPs will be digital through the website directly under the RSVP tab at the top. If you are having any trouble with this please don’t hesitate to reach out directly.
We please ask all guests to RSVP on the website no later than September 1st. We ask this so our vendor has an accurate head count. If we do not hear from you by this date we will move with the assumption that you will be unable to attend.
We ask that guests dress to impress with their best formal attire. The bridal party will be wearing tones of copper. Long or calf length dresses for the ladies and suits or tuxedos for the gentlemen encouraged. Although, please remember this is New Orleans so we encourage you to have fun with your wardrobe and embrace colors, textures, and patterns! Also please keep in mind comfortable footwear for the ladies as well. We do kindly request guests refrain from wearing white.
Please plan on arriving promptly at the start time listed on the invitation, 5:30pm. This will give guests time to grab a drink, settle in, and take their seats. The ceremony will begin at 6pm sharp, therefore the venue will not be allowing anyone into the venue after 5:55pm to ensure there is no interruption during the service.
We will have reserved seating for mother and father of the bride and groom as well as grandparents at the very front which will be noted by signage. We prefer not to follow tradition for the rest of our guests and ask that you sit wherever comfortable. There are no sides!
Although we would love to offer a plus one to all guests attending, we have a strict guest list that we must stick to. We please ask guests not to bring a plus one unless they are specifically named on the invitation.
We want you to be able to kick back, relax, and celebrate with us, which is why we have chosen to have an adults only event.
Although we can not predict the exact temperature and chance of rain, the weather in New Orleans in mid-October typically falls around high 70s during the day and mid 60s in the evenings. October tends to be the dryest month in New Orleans but it never hurts to be prepared for a passing shower.
While we do not have hotel room blocks reserved, there are many hotels and Airbnbs throughout the French Quarter to fit every budget within walking distance of the venue.
We have chosen to wed in the French Quarter for its walkability and the ceremony and reception will take place in the same space, therefore transportation will not be included. If you prefer, there is plenty of Lyft and Uber available. For guests that have their vehicle with them please be aware there is no street parking available.
We have hired a professional photographer to capture our day and kindly ask that there is no cell phone use at all during the ceremony. We do however encourage photo taking for the remainder of the evening and will have a platform for you to upload and share them with us!
While we do request guests not use their phones or cameras during the ceremony, photography the remainder of the night is encouraged. Feel free to share on your socials to your hearts content!
Heck yeah! We will be offering a full open bar of wine, beer, and premium spirits and encourage our guests to imbibe and enjoy themselves! Please note the venue does have a no shot policy. While we will also be covering gratuity for our bartenders and attendants, we do know that along with ourselves many of our guests work in the hospitality field. Therefore, not necessary, feel free to tip your bartender a little extra if you appreciate the service they provide.
The reception will end at 10:30pm, but we will be continuing the party at another location TBD with any guests who can keep up with us! Please note following the reception, the after party will be a cash bar.
We are happy to present you all traditional New Orleans cuisine, buffet style. There will be an assortment of food to choose from.
We are very conscious of any food allergies or restrictions some may have. While we do our best, unfortunately the venue has a set menu therefore we cannot ensure guests won’t come into contact with their allergen. Food service will be a buffet style so guests have a choice of what food they receive.
If this FAQ section was unable to answer your particular question, please feel free to reach out directly to the bride at (607)-242-5074. Please do your best however to refrain from reaching out on the day of unless absolutely necessary.
Both! The ceremony and dinner will be taking place in the courtyard under the beautiful wisteria while the dance floor will be directly inside. The two spaces will be free flowing all night.
While gifts are not expected or required , if you do so choose there will be a small registry section at the top of the website for you to access.
There will be some of our favorite options listed in the “Things to do” tab of the website. However, we highly encourage guests that are traveling in for the first time to explore the city and hop into whatever bar or restaurant calls to them. Some of our best experiences in New Orleans have happened by accident!
The best thing about New Orleans is that you will never run out of things to do! Aside from the many bars and restaurants, check out a jazz show at Fritzels, Frenchman street, or Preservation Hall. Explore the many shops and antique stores of the French Quarter. See the beauty that the Garden District has to offer. Book a ghost/cemetery/swamp/bayou tour and have fun.
Some helpful tips for our guests traveling into town we highly recommend having cash on you. Some mom and pop restaurants are cash only as well as many of the street musicians and bands playing within the bars have an expectation of a customary tip for enjoying their beautiful music. Another thing to remember is New Orleans is a very walkable city and is best enjoyed by foot so please prepare and pack yourselves comfortable walking shoes! And finally one of the brides top recommendations, have plenty of headache and antacid medicine ready. New Orleans is a drinking city and you’ll end up having more than you realize, as well as the local cuisine being saucy and spicy and will likely give you heartburn (we’re old, it happens) so do yourself a solid and come prepared!
