Question

What time should we arrive at the venue?

Answer

Please arrive at 4:30pm so you will have enough time to park and take your seats. The gates to the venue will close at 4:45pm. Guests arriving after 4:45 PM will not be able to enter the property until the ceremony has concluded!

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Uber/Lyft is a great option for getting around the Raleigh area! You should have no issue getting a rideshare on the way there. You are welcome to drive to the venue, or carpool with others. There is plenty of parking there. If you drink too much and don't feel comfortable driving home, you can leave your car overnight BUT will need to pick it up the following day, Sunday, between 12pm - 5pm only. Please make sure to drive slowly when on venue property.

How do I get back from the venue?

Answer

Our venue is located south of Raleigh, where there may be fewer Uber/Lyft cars available, especially if many people are trying to call rides at the same time. Rideshares are still an option, but wait times or prices may be affected by a larger demand. If you plan to drive yourself or others after the event, please be responsible and make good choices when leaving. We will have shuttle buses after the Reception to take people back to downtown Raleigh, from where you can head home or to your hotel - or keep the night going with us at our Happily Ever After Party! There will be two shuttle buses leaving around 9:30 and 10:30pm going back to Downtown Raleigh. If you would like to take either shuttle, please indicate so in your RSVP on the After Party page, or reach out to us directly. Unless space allows, only those who RSVP will have a space on the bus.

Will there be an Open Bar?

Answer

Yes! We’ll have two open bars at the venue serving plenty of liquor, beer, wine, seltzers, and non-alcoholic beverages. Per North Carolina law, all alcohol must be served by our bartenders. Last call will be just before 10:00 PM. After the reception, the After Party will have a cash bar, so drinks there will be available for purchase.

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour are planned to be outdoors. Dinner and our Reception will be in the barn, possibly spreading outside! Keep in mind that North Carolina in June is typically very hot and humid.

Is the property accessible?

Answer

Yes, the barn floor is solid/paved and has handicap parking just outside the entrance. We will have an ATV available for anyone needing additional assistance getting around the property!

What is the dress code?

The dress code is Semi-Formal/Garden Cocktail Attire.

What should I wear?

Answer

Ladies, please wear anything except for white! We would love to see your florals or summer colors. Gentlemen, please wear a nice dress shirt and blazer, though you are welcome to take off the blazer if it gets too hot. We recommend NOT to wear stiletto heels. While the reception space is a solid floor, we will be using multiple spaces in our lovely venue throughout the evening, and you may be walking across multiple surface including grass, dirt, and gravel.

Due to space constraints, we can only accommodate named guests on your invitation and RSVP list. We appreciate your understanding.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we kindly ask for no children at the wedding, except for those in our immediate family. Treat this as a special date night - come party and enjoy!

Where can I stay in Raleigh?

Answer

For those traveling in from out of town, we have hotel room blocks reserved at two different hotels. Both of these hotels are located in Downtown Raleigh and are within a 10-minute walk from our After Party location. Visit the Travel page on this website for links to book within our block for discounted rates! Rooms are limited and booking will close on May 5th, 2026. The Casso, Raleigh - $229 per night (+tax) Hampton Inn and Suites - $189 per night (+tax) You are welcome to look at AirBnb/VRBO, or any other hotels, as well!
