Feb 2019, Edna and David met at work. David was in charge of helping Edna with it and even and though he had Edna’s work email, he also asked for her cell number. That night she thought he was going to text but he didn’t! In Aug, 2019, Edna had to move to the Queens office for her work at the US Open. David’s office was in the same building. Edna emailed David asking if there were any additional chairs she could use. Well, instead of an email response he replied with a text, and even thought this was technically not his job, he took it upon himself to help her! David came and helped Edna and then made a point to visit her every day. Within a few days they were going on lunch and dinner walks and little by little the shared laughter and conversations were bringing them closer and closer. On Sept 20th 2019, (soon to become their Wedding Day), David took Edna to a restaurant in Astoria. At one point, David got up to use the restroom, but in reality he asked the waitress to give Edna a note. As she read the note, Edna was filled with joy as it was David asking if she wanted to be a couple and officially begin their relationship. Soon after they moved in together and their journey together began. In 2021, they made the bold decision to leave their beloved Astoria, Queens and move to Seattle. With all their possessions packed and shipped, it was only left to pack the car and along with Bandit make the cross county drive to their new home. They loved the fact that the Northwest with it’s natural beauty would fit right in to their love of hiking, camping and exploring. On the drive to their new home they added to their list a few more stops in National Parks- now 15 and counting! As with many of their long car trips, it was another opportunity for car trip Karaoke! As per usual, Disney songs were featured but in a new twist, David eventually got Edna to see the beauty of county music and she too was soon singing right along. One area that needed no convincing was their mutual love of sports and watching games together was something they loved to do. So Seattle would soon offer new teams to root for and new experiences that enriched their lives. On Nov 16, 2022. Edna and David took a trip to Hawaii to celebrate Edna’s 30th. David, as usual, had the trip planned to the minute! They loved seeing sunrises and sunsets and David told Edna that a friend told him about a beautiful beach for sunsets. It was stunning with the ocean, sand and palm trees. At one point, David had Edna turn and look for a whale he spotted but when she turned back around, David was on one knee and looking up at her. Edna immediately began to cry and David asked, “Will you marry me?” It was a moment of pure joy. And right on que, David had a musician with a ukulele approach and begin to play, “Stand by Me.” It was a magical moment in time as their relationship and journey together had reached new level of love and commitment.

Febrero del 2019, Marily y David se conocieron en el trabajo. David estaba a cargo de ayudar a Edna con un evento y, aunque tenía el correo electrónico del trabajo de Edna, también le pidió su número de celular. Esa noche ella pensó que él iba a enviar un mensaje de texto, ¡pero no lo hizo! En agosto del 2019, Marily tuvo que mudarse a la oficina de Queens por su trabajo en el US Open. La oficina de David estaba en el mismo edificio. Marily le envió un correo electrónico a David preguntándole si había sillas adicionales que pudiera usar. Bueno, en lugar de una respuesta por correo electrónico, respondió con un mensaje de texto! David vino y ayudó a Marily y luego se aseguró de visitarla todos los días. A los pocos días iban de paseo a comer y a cenar y poco a poco las risas y conversaciones compartidas los iban acercando cada vez más. El 20 de Septiembre del 2019 (que pronto se convertiría en el día de su boda), David llevó a Marily a un restaurante en Astoria. En un momento, David se levantó para usar el baño, pero en realidad le pidió a la camarera que le diera una nota a Marily. Mientras leía la nota, Marily se llenó de alegría ya que era David preguntándole si quería ser pareja y comenzar oficialmente su relación. Poco después se mudaron juntos y comenzaron su aventura juntos. En 2021, tomaron la audaz decisión de dejar su amada Astoria, Queens, y mudarse a Seattle. Con todas sus posesiones empacadas y enviadas, solo quedaba empacar el auto y junto con Bandit hacer el viaje a través del condado hacia su nuevo hogar. Les encantó el hecho de que el Noroeste con su belleza natural encajaría perfectamente con su amor por el senderismo, acampar y explorar. En el camino a su nuevo hogar, agregaron a su lista algunas paradas más en los Parques Nacionales, ¡ahora 15 y contando! Al igual que con muchos de sus largos viajes en automóvil, ¡era otra oportunidad para el viaje en automóvil Karaoke! Como de costumbre, se presentaron canciones de Disney, pero en un nuevo giro, David finalmente logró que Marily viera la belleza de la música del condado y pronto ella también estaba cantando. Un área que no necesitaba ser convencida era su amor mutuo por los deportes y ver partidos juntos era algo que les encantaba hacer. Así que Seattle pronto ofrecería nuevos equipos a los que apoyar y nuevas experiencias que enriquecerán sus vidas. El 16 de noviembre del 2022. Marily y David viajaron a Hawái para celebrar los 30 años de Marily. ¡David, como siempre, tenía el viaje planeado al minuto! Les encantaba ver amaneceres y atardeceres y David le contó a Marily que un amigo le habló de una hermosa playa para los atardeceres. Fue impresionante el océano, la arena y las palmeras. En un momento, David hizo que Marily se volteara a ver una ballena que vio (mentira), pero cuando ella se dio la vuelta, David estaba sobre una rodilla y la miraba. Edna inmediatamente comenzó a llorar y David preguntó: "¿Quieres casarte conmigo?" Fue un momento de pura alegría. Y justo en ese momento, David hizo que un músico con un ukelele se acercara y comenzara a tocar "Stand by Me". Fue un momento mágico en el tiempo ya que su relación y viaje juntos habían alcanzado un nuevo nivel de amor y compromiso.
