We met through the online app during the COVID timeframe.
Sammi arrived at a Korean restaurant, while Grant watched from afar, thinking that she was the most beautiful sight. Sammi turned around and immediately saw a guy across the street and knew it was Grant.
Grant knew that Sammi was the one, when on the first date, she asked Grant the most important question, "Do you like chicken feet?" Grant immediately knew that she was the one who would enjoy many interesting meals together throughout life. Sammi knew that Grant was the one when Sammi tried to drive to Quincy without her phone or GPS, but ended up getting lost in Lowell. She took out her laptop and messaged her friend through LinkedIn, who contacted Grant. Grant immediately ran out from work, to find where Sammi ended up, and found her walking for the first time after her foot injury in Target. Sammi was so surprised how quickly Grant was able to find her, and knew that he truly cared about her.
We took a trip to Acadia, ME on a whim, with some friends who were into photography. Sammi was just able to start hiking again after her foot injury. We spent many hours climbing Mt. Penobscot, and Sammi was curious why our friend kept turning around to take photos of both of us climbing up. Grant found some lovely wild flowers, picked one, and secretly carried it with him. At the very top, where we could see all of Acadia, Grant put the wild flower in Sammi's hair, and proposed to her. Sammi was extremely tired, but very happy.
We tried to secretly get married on 7/20/23, but word got out pretty easily. We had a quiet court date marriage ceremony to get the Green Card process going, and Sammi just received her Green Card!!! We are also escaping to China to get married on 5/12/24 in Guangzhou with Sammi's greater family. (Please message us separately if you would like to join us there!) Sorry, you are invited to our third wedding ceremony!
