Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

San Diego in late October is typically mild and pleasant, with daytime temperatures averaging in the mid-70s°F and cooler evenings in the mid-60s°F. It’s usually sunny, but we recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater for the evenings, just in case.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For the welcome party, we request guests wear semi-formal attire in sunset colors (red, yellow, orange, purple) For the wedding reception, we kindly request black tie attire. Gentlemen, please wear a tuxedo. Ladies, an evening gown or ball gown is perfect. We look forward to seeing everyone in their finest attire!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we adore your children, we have decided to make the wedding weekend an adults-only weekend

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, we will provide shuttle transportation from the Alila Marea and Hilton to the welcome party and ceremony locations.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony promptly starts at 2PM. We will have shuttles leaving the Alila Marea and Hilton. The ceremony is about a ~30 min drive from the Alila Marea and Hilton.

Question

Is there parking at the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a free parking lot at the Mission for the ceremony. The Alila Marea will be providing discounted overnight parking for $18/night

Question

Will there be a time gap between the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be a slight gap. Shuttles will be staggered back to the hotel, so guests can either spend time exploring the mission after the ceremony, or head back to the hotel to freshen up or enjoy the hotel bar.
