Like any great modern romance, ours began with a swipe — thank you, Bumble! After a few weeks of nonstop chatting and joking, Nicole had a date planned… with someone else (oops) — but something about RJ stood out. He kept her laughing, and she just had a feeling. So she changed her plans… and RJ said yes to a last-minute first date. We met on July 3rd in downtown McKinney for what we thought would be a quick outing to paint pottery. That “quick outing” turned into six hours of wandering through antique shops and furniture stores, laughing at weird knick-knacks, rating ugly chairs, and getting lost in conversation. It was like time forgot about us — and honestly, we kind of forgot about everything else too. By the end of the night, we both knew: something was different. It didn’t feel like a first date — like we’d known each other for years. Since then, we've been inseparable. From spontaneous road trips to lazy Sundays on the couch, life together has been full of laughter, love, and so many inside jokes we’ve lost count. That first date may have started with pottery, but it ended with the start of something truly beautiful — our forever.
