It’s been a year since we’ve officially been married, and a lot has changed! It’s finally time to celebrate our marriage as well as our son, Leo!

Jason and Tara met through a friend (thanks Jackie!) at the Mississippi Valley Fair, during the Alabama show. Jason went to all the shows throughout the week, and Tara decided last minute to use a friends ticket to go for the night. I guess Jackie knew these two would hit it off, and they did immediately! But silly Jason- he neglected to get Tara's phone number right away, and he had to jump through some hoops over the next week to get those digits...it's a good thing he did!

On our last evening in Costa Rica, Jason was urging Tara to "hurry up and get ready" so they could go watch the sunset on the beach. Tara was on island time, and in no hurry to leave the hammock on the porch of their treehouse. They finally rushed to the beach to find the perfect photo spot, and the selfie stick tripod broke JUST before Jason's big moment. He somehow got it shoved in the sand to lean just right for the video, and as the sun was rapidly setting, he dropped to one knee and popped the big question. She said yes, they hugged, kissed, and hugged and kissed some more. It was perfect.
