Any COVID Updates?

Answer

We long with our venues and staff will be following all current Covid Protocol and Mandates put in place but the State of Ohio and the CDC for large gatherings/weddings. Any updates to our events requirements and schedule will be posted on this website and sent out directly to all guests via email.

Change In Plans?

Answer

Plans change and we understand that. If your plans to attend the wedding have changed, due to life events or Covid, we ask that you simply reach out to let us know. Your presence will be felt whether you are there in person or not.

How will I get back to the hotel?

Answer

We have a reserved a party bus.. yes party bus… to shuttle our guests from the reception venue to the Courtyard Marriott on Furnace St. Shuttle will run from 10pm - 11pm

Parking?

Answer

Yes there is parking at R. Shea Brewing Co. Canal Place. Please park in the large shared parking lot. There is also ample parking available at the ceremony location in the National Park.

Entrance

Answer

When parking in the large parking lot outside of R Shea and Missing Falls Breweries, please follow all signage to enter the reception under the annex and NOT through the venues main entrance. This will bring you to the mezzanine/tap room and you will be redirected by staff to exit the building and enter through the ground level doors.

What's with this ceremony location?

Answer

Our ceremony will be located outside in a large field area above Virginia Kendall Ledges hiking area. This is a favorite hiking spot of ours and the first hike I (Rachel) took Mike on when we started dating. Please plan for the weather and footwear should be able to accommodate walking through the grass to seating.

Plan B?

Answer

Yes we have one.. and a plan C!! If weather does not permit an outdoor ceremony, we will make all updates available for our guests on the location/schedule page of this website as well as via email closer to the day.

Dinner?

Answer

As our invitation suggests, we will be serving our guests with heavy appetizers and small desserts rather than a sit down dinner. We will hope you will enjoy the selection of snacks and small plates that we have chosen with you all in mind! There are several restaurants, bars and breweries in the very near vicinity that will make a great stop for appetizers, drinks or even a quick meal in between our ceremony and reception. R. Shea tap room will be open and serving food and drinks as well!

What are you wearing?

Answer

Wear what makes you most comfortable. Most guests will wear formal attire considering the weather and the grassy field, but we are so happy to share our day with each of you and won’t be paying attention to what you are wearing!.. go ahead.. ask us what we’re wearing.

Accommodations BOOKED!!

Answer

What if all hotel rooms at the Courtyard are booked? There are several other hotels close by in the area. We and our families will be staying at the courtyard, however we recommend looking into the Hilton Garden Inn on E Main Street or a local Airbnb
