Through working together as supervisors at a dispensary, the two of us grew to learn how much we had in common and how much we enjoyed each other’s company. We found ourselves doing more tasks around the store together. We’d do crossword puzzles together during downtime. We even started to park next to each other whenever possible. It took Josh roughly two minutes to clock out, walk to his car, and drive home, which gave Rebecca approximately two minutes to find her manager, fake being sick, leave early, and catch up with him before he left. “Hey, can we talk?” turned into a six-hour conversation, and we spent virtually all that week together.
