On April 23rd of 2014, Ryan and Megan met for the first time at the Otsego High School tennis courts. The two have an ongoing joke that he was the "stalker at the fence" as Megan didn't know that Ryan would be the assistant coach for her varsity tennis team that season, and was calling her over to give her some advice. During that season, the two were friendly towards each other but went their separate ways after the 2014 season ended. Fast forward 7 years later, little did either of them realize that they would not only end back up in each other's lives but fall in love with their best friend and soulmate too.

On August 2nd of 2022, Ryan proposed to Megan on the top of a mountain in Bear Lake, UT.
