While we love your little ones, we do encourage you to enjoy an adult-only evening (and not pull your kids out of school) for our wedding. Please let us know when you RSVP if you intend to bring your children, so that we can plan accordingly.
This is a Black Tie Optional event. Gentlemen, it's time to Suit Up! Ladies, break out your best dress (or suit up as well if that's more your style) ! We get it, getting dressed up is a lot of work, but we feel that most of us rarely get the opportunity to do so anymore, and a wedding is the perfect opportunity to break out the fanciest attire you own. Don't let the question of "is this too formal" stop you. Wear it! The groomsmen will be in three-piece suits in shades of grey, while the bridesmaids will be wearing floor-length dresses in various earthy jewel tones.
Cleveland, GA is a very small town, and there is not much in the way of hotels. We do have a block of 15 rooms available at the Comfort Inn in Dahlonega approximately 35 minutes away. Blue Creek Cabins based in Helen will also give you a 10%off discount if you give them the last name Wohlstadter. Please keep in mind that they do require a 3 night stay during the month of October. If neither of these options suit you, this is in the north GA mountains, and there are TONS of cabins and other vacation rentals available. We highly recommend to our families and groups of friends, to get cabins together. We have a lengthy list of cabins in all sizes that have been recommended to us, so if you are having trouble finding one, feel free to email either Brian or Ann. There are other towns in the area to check out as well. Helen, GA is 20 minutes from the venue. Dahlonegha is 30 minutes away. Mossy Creek is 10 minutes away. Helen, GA's Oktoberfest will have just wrapped up, but the fall colors in the mountains will likeily just be getting going, so hotels, airbnbs, and cabins will fill up fast, so we recommend booking early.
We are registered with Amazon and Rogue Fitness. The links are available on the Registry page. If you would prefer to contribute to our honeymoon (Scotland for our one-year anniversary!), or towards our first home, or other monetary contribution, please contact either Brian or Ann directly for their Zelle or Venmo information. Thank you!
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Cenita Vineyards at 659 Dock Dorsey Rd, Cleveland, GA 30528. There is parking for approximately 75 vehicles on site. The management of the venue does prefer that vehicles are not left overnight, so if you are planning on indulging in the alcoholic beverages, we do suggest using Uber, Lift, or similar other transportation to and from the wedding, or having a designated driver.
There are LOTS of hiking trails and beautiful scenic drives. Here are some of our recommendations: Yonah Preserve Trails, Davis Creek Falls, Little Ridge Creek Falls, Precher's Rock, Logan Turnpike Trail. The wedding venue owns a vineyard, and their tasting room is at 591 Dock Dorsey Road Cleveland, GA 30528. There are several other wineries in the area as well, including: Yonah Mountain Vineyards, The Cottage Vineyard and Winery, Tesnatee River Winery and Meadery, and Three Sisters Winery. Some nearby breweries include: NoFo Brew Co (formerly Tantrum Brewing Company), Dahlonega Brewing, and Etowah Meadery Cleaveland, Helen, and Dahlonega are also all cute towns to explore. On Saturday, October 23rd there is a beer festival about 45 minutes away from the wedding venue. Brian and Ann will be working at the Appalachian Brew, Que, and Stew Festival in Hiawasee. It is a fun time and a beautiful facility. You can get tickets here: https://georgiamountainfairgrounds.com/localevents/id/36
Please contact Brian or Ann directly as soon as possible. We are already doing what we can to ensure that no nuts will be used in any of the food at the wedding.
There will be an open bar serving beer, wine, and cider. The venue does not allow hard liquor however, so we do ask that you do not try to sneak in any. There will be water and sodas available.
Please RSVP no later than September 23rd.
