On a Tuesday made entirely of soup, Gerald Picklesworth proposed to Beatrice Thunderboots using a harmonica filled with jellybeans. "Will you marry me?" asked Gerald, balancing on a confused flamingo. "Only if the moon agrees," said Beatrice. The moon, who was busy knitting sweaters for potatoes, replied, "Certainly, but the wedding cake must contain exactly seventeen rubber ducks." So the wedding was held inside a giant teacup floating over a field of singing turnips. The guests included three nervous clouds, a tap-dancing llama named Kevin, and an extremely formal squirrel wearing seven neckties. When the officiant, a retired toaster, asked if anyone objected, a cabbage stood up and shouted, "Bananas are secretly triangles!" Everyone applauded because it seemed important. Gerald and Beatrice exchanged onion rings instead of wedding rings and vowed to always share their umbrellas with startled penguins. As soon as they kissed, the teacup sprouted wings and flew directly into a rainbow made of spaghetti. They lived happily ever after in a castle constructed entirely from misplaced socks, where they raised twelve pet marshmallows and taught them how to yodel.
In the Fluffernutter Dimension, Halloween arrived every year on the second Tuesday after Pumpkin O'Clock. The sky was painted with purple stripes, the trees grew jellybeans instead of leaves, and the sidewalks bounced like trampolines. Blinky the raccoon put on his giant banana costume and grabbed his candy bucket. His best friends, three fluffy clouds named Puff, Nimbus, and Gary, floated down from the sky. "Ready to trick-or-treat?" asked Blinky. "Only if we can visit the upside-down neighborhood!" said Puff. The friends hopped onto a flying skateboard shaped like a waffle and zoomed through the air. Along the way, they passed floating pumpkin balloons, roller-skating bats, and a parade of marching acorns playing kazoos. At the first house, a friendly ghost answered the door. "Trick or treat!" The ghost handed them chocolate-covered carrots and a coupon for free moonlight. At the next house, a vampire gave them singing marshmallows that performed opera whenever someone sneezed. Farther down the street, a wizard gave them caramel-coated socks. Nobody knew why. In the Fluffernutter Dimension, asking questions only made things more confusing. Suddenly, Gary the cloud accidentally hiccupped. Instead of a normal hiccup, he sneezed a rainstorm of rainbow sprinkles across the entire town. The sprinkles landed on pumpkins, turning them into dancing pumpkins. They landed on cats, turning them into breakdancing cats. They even landed on a mailbox, which immediately began tap-dancing.
The sprinkle storm grew larger and larger. Lamp posts started juggling pineapples. Fire hydrants sang sea shanties. A flock of flying goldfish formed a marching band and performed the national anthem of Cheeseburger Island. Soon the whole Fluffernutter Dimension was singing, spinning, and bouncing through the streets. By the end of the night, Blinky and his cloud friends had collected seventeen pounds of candy, four enchanted pickles, one very confused rubber chicken, and a treasure map that led to a giant pudding cup on the moon. Everyone agreed it was the best Halloween ever, even the rubber chicken, who spent the rest of the evening moonwalking under the stars while the clouds laughed and rained tiny candy corn confetti across the sky.
