We’re Getting Married!

It was July 2018 and I was going to my 5 year high school reunion with my friends. We were having a great night and didn't want the night to end, so we decided to go out after. We all decided we were going to go Grits. My friend, Emmie, offered to have her boyfriend, Corey, come pick us up from the reunion and bring us to Grits. Once Corey got there, we all got in the car and I sat in middle seat in the back. I saw this cute guy sitting in the passenger seat and I leaned over and asked Emmie who he was. Emmie said his name was Craig. I then asked her if he was single and she said yes. I said "Perfect! He's really cute. Don't tell him anything I said, I'm going to make my moves when we get to the bar." (I had a few drinks so I was feeling brave haha). We get to the bar and I walked off to use the bathroom. My feet were killing me so I thought it would be a good idea to take my shoes off and walk around Grits barefoot (ew). I met back up with my friends at the bar and Craig looked at me and said "I hope you're up to date on your tetanus shot." Needless to say, I said yes and he bought me a drink. We immediately clicked that night and the rest is history.

In July 2018, my buddy Corey had asked me to take a ride with him to go pick up his girlfriend and her friends from their high school reunion and bring them to another bar. I wasn’t really looking to go out that night, but I figured I’d keep my boy company. We pick up the ladies and get to our new destination, Grits. We parked and the ladies are heading to the entrance while, Emmie, stayed back and told me that this girl, Paige, was asking about me. Once we get to the bar and I’m able to notice Paige and thought she was really pretty so I start making conversation with her. Paige might say she was going to make a move but there’s no way… she was way too quiet! I bought her a drink and we started talking, asking about each other. Camille, one of Paige’s friends, was there and she was getting married at the end of the year. I told Paige that I was standing in the wedding and needed to practice my “plus one’ing” before the wedding – so I asked Paige out on a date. She said “yes” and that’s how it all started!
