Brendan and Caroline met while attending Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore. While the two initially shared a Biology major and a few classes, they did not formally meet until Halloween of 2012. That night, a trophy wife and buzz lightyear (a hand made costume, very impressive) walked into a bar...not knowing that they would be engaged 5 years later! The pair did not date while attending college, but remained close friends after graduating as they experienced the workforce, graduate school, and cross-country moves. The two were reunited for a Loyola University Maryland alumni event and it was during that trip that they realized what they had always wanted - each other. As Caroline boarded a plane back to California, they agreed to attempt a long-distance relationship. The couple would alternate trips from coast to coast, and even met midway in Austin, Texas for a getaway weekend. Nightly phone calls were essential (and often tricky due to the three hour time change and Caroline's early bedtime), and thoughts of each other were ever present as they completed their daily tasks. Brendan was working full time while attending Graduate school, and Caroline had started her dietetic internship. Although they had busy, fulfilling lives, they always made time for one another. In May of 2017, Caroline's parents were planning a trip to San Francisco for a medical conference. Since Brendan's parents had never met Caroline's, nor had they visited San Francisco, the whole family decided to make the trip. Little did Caroline know that Brendan was planning the perfect proposal at the first winery they visited together, Domaine Carneros in Napa Valley. Brendan had everything planned perfectly: He brought the family together, flew out her favorite photographer, and designed a pear shaped ring he knew she would cherish forever. May 7, 2017 marked the day they began their lifetime journey together, and they can't wait for you to be a part of the day they say "I Do!"
