Our love story began with the help of two close and persistent friends, Hali and Matt. They thought Derek and I would be a perfect match and as it turned out, they were right! Our two best friends began dating and immediately set out to pair us up. Our relationship simmered for a few months and by Valentine's Day 2014 we became official. We are so excited to share the day we say "I do" with all of you as we celebrate our sixth year together and "tie the knot" on February 15, 2020!

Derek wins "The Best Surprise Ever" Award for this one. We took a last minute weekend trip to our favorite Colorado spot, Estes Park with our pooch Sally. Plans included hiking, a little off road adventuring and a few other things. Derek insisted that I pick a good hiking trail because I knew the park so well. "Make sure it has a great view. It's going to be a day to remember", he said playfully. (I should have known something was up, but I never saw it coming.) That next day we started our hike, neared the top of the trail and stopped at a clearing to admire the breathtaking view. It was gorgeous and just us two up there. Derek began to talk about our life together and the love he had for us and our "little family". Then he said, "I have a question to ask you". It suddenly dawned on me what was happening. I said "YES!" The rest, as they say, is history. It was the most magical moment, one that we will cherish forever.
