The Essex Resort & Spa
Located in Essex,Vermont, just outside of Burlington, the resort is only 8 minutes from the airport. The resort does have a shuttle from the airport, but it is pricier than an Uber/taxi would be. The resort does offer a shuttle going to the Essex Experience, a nearby shopping center, which is complimentary when booked on the day of (subject to availability). The resort is known for its amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, a full spa, and a fitness center. Church Street
If you have never been to Vermont/Burlington, we highly recommend checking out Church Street! It is a beautiful walkable street located in the heart of downtown Burlington. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to explore, and it is very close to the waterfront!
Mount Philo
If you are looking for something outdoorsy, Mt. Philo is a very fun and easy hike. It is about a 25-minute drive from the resort and can be driven up if you do not want to hike! The website link that I have linked here gives you 5 options for getting to the top!
Burlington Beer Trail
For those interested in the local craft beer scene! Start at either end of this trail and experience a unique tour of Burlington’s best brews! This trail is short enough that you can hop on the bike path or walk to most destinations. Personally, I would recommend renting a bike and skipping simple roots (it's a bit out of the way of the other breweries).

There is a golf course right by the resort. If you are staying at the resort, you can get a free bucket of balls for the driving range!
