Our Love Story .... Vicente, "Chente" or "Vic" (as most people know him as) & I met in 2020 .... the crazy year that changed a lot of things in the world! I went to work part time at Home Depot in the spring, he and I never really talked, in fact I didn't even like him! Everyone always said how he was mean, unapproachable, and some other choice words but, he wasn't any of my concern so it didn't matter. A few months later he ended up being over the service desk, where I worked, so then I had to interact with and talk to him. We became friends or "cool" with one another, a few months go by .... we hung out some, started dating and in the fall, we decided to make it "official". We spend all our free time together, we're inseparable and time goes on. I love to travel, and it took a little time to convince him that there's so much more in the world to see and that he should try it too .... So, we end up traveling together, we have fun, we meet new people everywhere we go, we make friends with them and we're living life! It wasn't too long into our relationship that he mentions marriage, but I wasn't ready for that. So, we're "just dating" all this time. We have a thing that we do, for our birthdays we go somewhere, sometimes it's to the same places we've already been (because we enjoy it that much), sometimes it'll be somewhere new. December 2022, we tried a new place, Puerto Vallarta, it was amazing (can't wait to go back)! We explored, we found delicious tacos, we went to a secluded beach away from everything and we just loved it all, Puerto Vallarta is special to us! We end up buying an excursion .... Rhythm of the nights. It's a Cirque de Soleil type attraction, highly recommend! So, we're getting ready and we're running late (me of course lol) and he says, "Babe, come here but it has to be quick" (may not have been exactly his words but that's the point haha), it was two whales!! We could see them right from our hotel balcony! As I type this, I remember being told that, that was a good sign, like a good luck thing. We leave to go to our show ... we're there, we're doing dinner, and he gets up to talk to the waiter, I'm like aghh ok ok, he's telling him that it's my birthday, fine. They bring me this really pretty dessert and then the guy is like let's go take pictures by the beach .... I'm like seriously? Ok, fine. He hands me the dessert plate and he's like "do you like it?" I had already seen it and I told him that I liked it, and he asks again, "did you see it, do you like it?" I'm like what the heck, I already told him I do! Well ... I didn't pay attention! The ring is inside the strawberry!!!! I just start crying, UGLY crying ya'll!!!! Vic calls it the Charlie Brown cry LOL! I finally uncover my face and my baby love is on his knee ... waiting for me to get it together, he has such beautiful words to say, and he asks me if I'll marry him, omg! I said yes, of course! We're ENGAGED ya'll!!!! Fast forward some, we start to plan and it's so much to think about, to look at, to decide on ... alllll of those things! We went from a big wedding here in DFW to a destination wedding, in Cancun and then canceled that! We are now having a smaller, more intimate ceremony and reception with our closest family & friends. Can't wait to celebrate with you all!
