They met by chance at a bus station near Geneseo when Tom bummed a ride (he'd been on a bus for 7 hours and just wanted to get back to school). They ran into each other again at a classmate's party. The next day Tom invited Em to an open mic and they walked around campus until she learned he had a dog and needed to meet her. (He was impressed with how much Marvel liked her right away!) They bonded over music and movies, and the interest grew. After college, the couple moved to Long Island for 4 years. Now they own a home in beautiful Syracuse, N.Y.
