Question

How do I get to the wedding venue? What time should I arrive?

Answer

There is no parking available at the venue, but a shuttle will be available for all of our guests. The shuttle stops in Downtown Highlands outside of the Old Edwards Inn and 200 Main. Note: Please confirm that the shuttle has a sign indicating it is for the WITHERINGTON-LUCKEY wedding! It will begin running at 4pm and will continue until everyone has been transported to the venue. The shuttle will be running as late as needed to get everyone home!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We invite guests to dress in cocktail or garden formal attire. Think suits or jackets for men and dresses or dressy separates for women. Also, the grass can be soft, so flats or wedges are recommended!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Late August in Highlands, NC typically brings warm, comfortable afternoons and cooler mountain evenings, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap! While weather can always be unpredictable, here’s what you can generally expect on the day of the wedding: 5:00 PM: Temperatures are usually in the low to mid-70s with pleasant sunshine and a light breeze. 6:00 PM: The sun begins to soften, with temperatures gradually cooling to the high 60s. 7:00 PM: Expect it to be in the mid to upper 60s as the sun sets behind the mountains. 8:00 PM: Temperatures typically drop to the low 60s, with cooler air settling in. 9:00 PM – 11:00 PM: Evening temps often dip into the high 50s or low 60s.

Yes! This information is due to the venue by August 8th, but please let us know as soon as possible!
