August in Hawaii is warm, sunny, and humid, with daytime temperatures in the mid 80s and evenings in the 70s. Pack lightweight, breathable clothing, swimwear, and a light layer for the evenings. Kona is known for being one of the drier parts of Hawaii, so rain is unlikely - though a quick passing shower is always possible. For beach days, you'll want sunblock, a hat, and swim shirt for snorkeling. Water shoes are helpful for the lava rock beaches. If you're planning to explore the island there's an array of microclimates you might encounter including cooler mountain elevations and rainforest conditions. You'll want to pack comfortable walking shoes or hiking sandals, a light rain jacket, and activewear if you plan to visit the volcano, observatory or waterfalls.
Cocktail beach attire. Elevated, relaxed, and breathable. The setting is a beachside clubhouse with some grassy areas, so choose footwear accordingly. Please hold off on the bold Hawaiian shirt for this one.
We kindly ask that you RSVP on our wedding website for the welcome dinner and wedding celebration by June 1st. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
