Ice Cream Alley’s slogan is mountain sized scoops... and they aren’t kidding! There might be a long line, but that’s part of the experience. Try half Espresso Explosion and half Chocolate Fudge Brownie! Oh, and order a kiddie. We know you don’t want to, but trust us on this one! Mountain sized scoops...
This is our favorite spot for brunch! The huevos and the breakfast burritos are delish. They also make a mean latte.
Need a cup o’ joe? Head to Mountain Java! We recommend their dark chocolate mocha or London fog!
If you need a sweet treat, this is the place to go! Stacey is also making our wedding cake.
Shore Lodge can be a little spendy, but it’s a fun place to sip a cocktail by the lake. Cheers!
You might be skeptical about sushi in McCall. We were too, but they fly fresh fish in daily. We’ve had some really great food here!
One of our favorite McCall summertime activities is paddle boarding! You can rent SUPs (and kayaks or canoes) from Backwoods, which is located right by North Beach on the Upper North Fork of the Payette River. This tributary river is super calm, is a non-motorized zone, and has very clear water, which makes it a perfect spot to paddle board. We've seen moose, bears, and elk while SUPing, and it's a perfect place to practice your SUP yoga skills!
Ponderosa is a great place to take a stroll! You can visit the lookout for a nice view of the lake or walk along the Meadow Marsh or Huckleberry Bay trails. Heads up that dogs are supposed to be on leash in the park.
This is a gorgeous hike! It can get a little busy because it’s a popular spot, but you are treated to some very pretty vistas. Heads up that the road to the trail head can be rough and difficult to navigate if you have a low clearance vehicle. For more info: https://www.itstartedoutdoors.com/louie-lake-boulder-lake-loop/
This is another fantastic hike outside of McCall. It’s on the shorter side, and has a stunning view of the “Grassy Twins” as you hike up a ridge. We’ve hiked here in various different seasons, and the view never disappoints!
