On Saturday afternoon, I opened up an app on my phone and started swiping for fun . Then BAM , I swiped right and immediately matched with the most handsome man i had ever seen. A few minutes later i get a message “damn a girl who likes to fish” and i was hooked (pun intended 😉 ). After a few days of talking, we decided to go on our first date. After that first date full of tacos, laughs, and country music, i knew that i was going to be with this man for the rest of my life.

On a warm and sunny Tuesday in Florida, we were fishing in the backyard of our new home that we were eagerly ready to move into a few weeks later! After a few casts, Mike hooks a fish and begins reeling it in! After he gets the hook out of its mouth, he asks me to look at what he caught the fish on. I took the lure in my hand and read the the phrase “Will You Marry Me?” and my best friend got down on one knee, pulled out a ring and asked me to spend forever with him. It was a moment out of dream and through my surprise and tears i mustered out the easiest YES in the world!
