Groom
Alex fondly remembers the first time he met Liane when he was home from college during the summer of 2005. They were working on a movie set together that was filming in Liane's hometown. Their friendship blossomed and grew over six years, until one day the stars aligned for them. Alex asked Liane to be his date to a film festival. From that moment on, their love grew strong and fast. Alex and Liane have spent nine incredible years together, and look forward to tying the knot together this December.
Bride
Liane was charmed by the first sighting of Alex back when she was in high school. Over the years, she cultivated a friendship with Alex since they were never single at the same time. Eventually, six years later, that moment happened. She accompanied Alex as his date with his parents to view his film at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC. After that, her love expanded drastically for him. He proposed to Liane after four years together. With almost a decade of affection between them, Liane is beyond excited to say "I do" in front of all her family and friends.
Best Man
Austin is Alex's younger brother. They grew up together on the South Shore of Boston, MA. Austin is the type of person that would literally take the shirt off his back to help you. He is loyal to a fault when it comes to his family, friends, and his country. Austin and his brother share an obsession with automobiles, boats, and basically anything with a motor. He is hilarious and has one of the best senses of humor around. Currently, Austin lives with his wife Ashley outside of Savannah, Georgia. He's stationed at Fort Stewart serving as a Private First Class for the United States Army. The entire Winter family couldn't be more proud of the sacrifice he and his wife make for us all.
Maid of Honor
Liane and Kaitlyn met during the summer as cocktail waitresses at Rare View rooftop lounge in Spring 2008. They bonded over their love for the city and all it has to offer two young gals following their dreams. Kaitlyn is an intelligent and beautiful physician's assistant in Manhattan. Liane and Kait are always being silly together no matter the situation and their love for each other grows stronger each day. Kaitlyn is incredible at organizing and throwing amazing parties, which is one of the many reasons why she is Liane's Maid of Honor. Give Kaitlyn a big congrats since she has now entered the engagement group!
Groomsman
Brandon and Alex met through mutual friends, thanks to Liane and Kaitlyn (the maid of honor). The guys hit it off right out of the gate and grew a strong friendship because Brandon has a huge heart! He is a husband to Karen who is also in the wedding party. Brandon is an avid soccer player and a big fan. He loves to travel and is always ready to have a good time. You best believe that he will be on the dance floor, tearing is up with the groomsmen. Brandon is one of the hardest workers Alex knows and can appreciate his dedication to the family. Today, you can congratulate him and his wife on their announcement of a baby boy coming our way this summer!
Bridesmaid
Daria and Liane met in the sophomore halls of Westerly High School. They built a strong friendship through their love for Russian house music. They would even dance to "Sandstorm" right next to the speakers at all the school dances. Daria and Liane shared clothes and shoes constantly, as well as a shared love for punky "No Doubt" fashion. After high school, Daria went off to college but spent a summer living in NYC with Liane at their apartment in Queens while Daria worked at the UN. Today, Daria is happily married with two beautiful girls and a handsome "Prince" husband in New Hampshire.
Groomsman
Alex and Will met during their freshman year at Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia. They cultivated a strong friendship over the years, bonding over their mutual creative skills. Alex was a groomsman in Will's wedding a few years ago, and now Will has the chance to return the favor. Will is a charming southern boy from Georgia and lights up any conversation with his wit. Will and Alex have loads of hilarious stories from college and they always enjoy laughing up their past. Today, Will lives in Hilton Head South Carolina with his lovely wife Karli, and they are expecting a beautiful baby girl this summer.
Bridesmaid
Karen and Liane met a decade ago in New York City through the Maid of Honor, who is also Karen's cousin. Karen and Liane grew closer when they traveled to Mexico to celebrate Kaitlyn's birthday. They share a love for sunshine, as well as bonded over their similar humor and refreshing wine choices! Liane and Karen also really enjoy Sunday Funday's with their men and tasty new restaurant choices. Karen is funny and charming, as well as an amazing girlfriend you can talk to for hours. Recently, Karen is a newlywed and building a family with her handsome husband Brandon.
Bridesmaid
Liane met Julie when she was a sophomore in high school. Liane spent a lot of time in the sophomore halls because they had many of the same friends. Liane and Julie became close over the years, bonding over their love for the tv show Friends and anything to do with vampires. A lot of their friendship has been filled with laughter. Julie is one of the funniest people you will know, especially with her silly one-liners. Liane was a bridesmaid at Julie's wedding a few years ago and it was so much fun! Needless to say, they've always been super close girlfriends. Liane is honored to have Julie in her life and as her bridesmaid.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and Liane met during 3rd grade when Liane's dad moved into her parents duplex in Westerly. They spent hours playing Nintendo, sunbathing on the trampoline in the backyard, and dancing the night away to 90's songs in her bedroom. Rachel and Liane were always outside when it was sunny! The school years they have spent together has allowed them to stay close despite Liane living in NYC for five years while Rachel was in college at URI. Liane was a bridesmaid at Rachel's wedding years ago and looks forward to having Rachel by her side in December. Today, Rachel is building her family with her husband in Rhode Island.
Bridesmaid
Stephanie and Liane were with the same agency and met as models at a hair job for Clairol in New York. They started chatting about the vampire book Liane was reading and bonded quickly. Stephanie shared a lot of insight into the modeling scene in the city. Since then, Stephanie has modeled for many companies while living in New York. When she moved back home to CT, she worked as a bartender. That lead to Liane working there as well when she moved in with Alex. Liane loves to have girls nights in at Steph's apartment! Together, they have spent many nights chatting about life and drinking wine. Stephanie's the best person to ask for a new brand of wine because of her work in liquor sales.
Bridesmaid
Maggie and Liane modeled together but met under some tragic circumstances; the day Liane's father passed. She was incredibly supportive of Liane as if they had been friends for years. That connection turned into a special friendship. They are the girls who stay up all night chatting about life and love. Maggie is down to earth and humble. She is a SAG actress in LA and you can find her on Gotham as Poison Ivy or in her new show called Mr. Iglesias. Maggie is also a talented singer! Liane and Maggie are always laughing together and that will only continue with their friendship.
Bridesmaid
Liane met Jena working her first summer in NYC at Rare View rooftop in 2007. Liane had never waitressed before, but Jena taught her well. She also is a model and got Liane signed with her agency. Stephanie also was signed with the same one. They booked Liane and Jena for jobs together around the country for haircare companies and NYFW runway shows. Liane spent numerous nights at Jena's apartment whenever she was in the city and they always grabbed sushi. Now, Jena is working hard as a model and a SAG actress.
Father of the Bride
Liane's father is a World War II Navy veteran, who was 63 years old when she was born. Jim discovered life all over again with a newborn girl in his arms. So much so that the Hartford Chronicle wrote a front page article about him and the family's new addition. Jim left this world six years ago in March and Liane misses him every day. Making an introduction for him makes Liane feel like her father is there during this whole wedding process. She knows he would be so proud of the man she is marrying. Thankfully he had the opportunity to meet Alex and give his blessing before he passed. He is always missed and never forgotten.
Mother of the Groom
Anne is a supercharged go-getter who you will most likely find on the dance floor at this wedding. We joking say to "take the batteries out" because of all the energy packed into that tiny yoga body. Jokes aside, Anne is an incredible mother to Alex and Austin. She is also adored as a second mom to the bride as well. Anne grew up practicing ballet, which led to her choreographing numerous Broadway shows. She also has a college degree in French. Because of her dance career, she now teaches the most difficult yoga classes in the south shore of Massachusetts.
Mother of the Bride
Liane's mother is the go-to cook and baker in the family. She makes everything from scratch! She is also a very talented seamstress who made all of Liane's Halloween costumes and holidays dresses when she was little. Diana also has hand made a birthday cake every year since Liane was born. She is a thoughtful, intelligent, loving, and an incredible mom. She supported Liane's modeling career, like her father, since she was 16 years old. Diana always gave her loving support to her daughter and promoted her career to New York. She's an amazing woman in her daughter's life and Liane couldn't imagine her life without her mother in it!
Father of the Groom
David is a wonderful father to his boys and a loving husband. He is a living legend with several multi-platinum records that shot him into stardom throughout Europe. David is very creative on multiple levels including the ability to listen o a song and play is verbatim on the piano without sheet music. After moving to the States, he met his wife Anne while they both performed at the Tropicana in Atlantic City. David and Anne moved back to her home in Massachusetts to start a family. Today, David still writing music and singing songs, but also enjoys couch surfing while watching soccer.
Step Father of the Bride
Paul came into Liane's life when she was in elementary school and Paul shared a common workspace with Diana, Liane's mom. He married Diana almost 10 years ago and Liane couldn't be more lucky to have Paul as another father. Paul is Liane's hero every day, not only because he is a Vietnam veteran, but he also always has a smile on his face despite dealing with rheumatoid arthritis. That won't stop Paul from twirling Liane around for the father-daughter dance. He also beats up a drum set like no one else! Paul has been playing drums in bands for 60 years. He is an amazing man and Liane looks forward to formally introducing him to the whole wedding crowd!
