We first met while helping plan the proposal of our close friends. It was incredibly spontaneous, very DIY, but honestly, the perfect setup for something unexpected to begin. Winston had just moved back from YWAM in Kona, and Alexia was starting her second year of ministry school in Nashville. Neither of us expected anything beyond a fun week of celebrating our friends, but God clearly had something more in mind. As we spent more time together, we realized how much we had in common. From a shared love for Jesus and ministry to the outdoors and, somewhat unexpectedly, the new Twisters movie. We went to see it as friends and left with an appetite for Taco Bell, and maybe some new feelings too... The turning point? A 5 a.m. road trip to Chattanooga. Somewhere between the sunrise, a scenic overlook, and a gas station Red Bull pit-stop, Winston shared his heart and told Alexia he wanted to pursue her. A month later, after meeting her family in Texas, he officially asked her to be his girlfriend. From the start, this relationship has felt covered, intentional, and full of peace. We didn’t plan for any of it, but every step has felt so perfectly guided by the Lord, our families, and our leaders around us. What began as a proposal for our best friends turned into a love story we now get to call our own! We are beyond excited and can’t wait to continue this story for the rest of our lives. - W+A
