Efay is Winnie’s cousin, but throughout their lives, their relationship has always felt more like siblings than cousins. Their bond grew even stronger in 2020 when they became housemates during the pandemic. Living under the same roof meant sharing countless everyday moments, from late-night conversations to navigating life’s ups and downs together. Over the years, Efay has become one of the people who knows Winnie best. He has seen her at her best and at her worst, listened to countless rants, and always been a steady source of support. When Winnie traveled, Efay lovingly cared for her cats, Boba and Tofu, as if they were his own. These days, he's a proud cat dad to two adorable kittens, Java and PennyBag. Winnie has always admired Efay's kindness, resilience, and the person he has grown into. She is incredibly proud of everything he has accomplished and feels honored to have him standing by her side on her wedding day. While they may be cousins by blood, to Winnie, Efay has always been family in the truest sense of the word.

Sinyi and Winnie met during Winnie’s one semester at National Central University before she moved to the United States. Although they only spent four months together in Taiwan, their friendship has lasted for more than a decade. During their time at university, while most students went home on the weekends, Sinyi and Winnie were often the only ones left in the dorm. They looked after each other, shared their most vulnerable stories, and formed a bond that would endure long after Winnie left Taiwan. Despite living in different countries, they stayed in touch over the years, and whenever Winnie returned to Taiwan, meeting up with Sinyi was always a priority. Their friendship has also taken them on adventures beyond Taiwan. Sinyi visited Winnie in Portland for a memorable weekend together, and years later, they finally made their long-awaited trip to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Through every chapter of life, Sinyi has remained a steady and dependable friend: always reliable, always supportive, and always ready for the next adventure. Winnie is incredibly grateful for Sinyi's friendship that has stood the test of time, distance, and life’s many changes.

Angela and Winnie go all the way back to high school. Having attended an all-girls school together, Winnie remembers Angela as the leader behind countless events and activities. She is the kind of person who naturally brought people together. To this day, Angela still has that same ability to create and nurture meaningful connections among our high school besties. While Winnie can’t quite remember how she became part of Angela’s circle, she is incredibly grateful that Angela and their group of high school friends have kept her included all these years, even from halfway around the world. Despite missing some of their annual trips, Winnie has never felt forgotten, and catching up with the group is always one of her top priorities whenever she returns to Taiwan. Over the years, Angela has entered a new chapter of life and is now an amazing mom to her adorable son, LeiMong. Winnie admires the care and dedication Angela brings to both her friendships and her family. She is especially grateful that Angela is willing to take time away from her busy life and family to stand by her side as a bridesmaid on such an important day. More than a decade after high school, Winnie treasures the friendship, loyalty, and connection that Angela has continued to bring into her life.

Amber and Winnie also go all the way back to high school. Their friendship was built on a shared love of music, and some of their favorite memories together involve singing, discovering new songs, and finding ways to make ordinary school days more fun. One particularly memorable moment was participating in a high school singing competition together - a performance that went spectacularly poorly at the time but has since become one of their favorite stories to tell. Whether they were goofing around during PE class or excitedly sharing their latest musical discoveries, Amber was always someone who brought laughter and joy into Winnie’s life. Even after graduation, their friendship continued to grow despite the distance between them. When Amber got married last year, Winnie was heartbroken that she was unable to attend in person. Thankfully, their high school friends made sure she could still be part of the celebration by live-streaming the wedding from across the world. Although Winnie couldn’t be there for Amber’s special day, Amber never hesitated to say yes when asked to be a bridesmaid. She is now traveling thousands of miles to stand beside Winnie on her wedding day. Winnie is incredibly grateful for Amber’s friendship, loyalty, and generosity. Her willingness to make such a long journey is a testament to a friendship that has endured through the years and across continents.

When Winnie first met Paige, she thought Paige was a little wild and occasionally unhinged—two qualities that Winnie genuinely appreciates! Paige also entered Winnie’s life as a fellow “WAG” through Levi’s tennis circle, but it didn’t take long for their friendship to grow into something much more. Paige’s genuine enthusiasm for making friends, having fun, and bringing people together instantly connected with Winnie, and the two have shared countless unforgettable memories and parties ever since. While Paige is always ready to turn an ordinary night into a great story, she is also someone Winnie can turn to during life’s more difficult moments. Hsin and Winnie met through their shared love of tennis in Portland. As fellow Taiwanese living far from home, they quickly bonded, and their friendship grew remarkably fast within the first year they met. What started as hitting tennis balls together soon became a friendship built on shared culture, laughter, and countless hours spent on and off the court. During the workday, Winnie would often take “breaks” from work to squeeze in a tennis session with Hsin. No matter how cold it was - sometimes even below 50°F (10°C) - Hsin was almost always game. As long as it wasn’t raining, there was a good chance she was ready to grab a racket and head to the courts. Their friendship soon expanded beyond tennis. Before Winnie moved to Australia last year, the two traveled to Los Angeles together to see Blackpink in concert, checking off one of Winnie’s bucket-list experiences. Hsin has also made Portland feel a little more like home by generously sharing her homemade Taiwanese dishes and treats, something Winnie always looks forward to. Whether it’s braving cold weather for a tennis match, embarking on a spontaneous adventure, or sharing a taste of home, Hsin brings warmth, generosity, and enthusiasm to every friendship. Winnie is incredibly grateful for the friendship they built in Portland and for all the memories they have created together.
Flower Girl
Lilly is Hsin's daughter. She has been Hsin's biggest cheerleader on the sidelines of tennis matches.
Maid of Honor
Winnie met Sara in 2021 when she first took up tennis. What began as a friendship on the tennis court quickly grew into something much deeper. These days, they rarely play tennis together, but they still love watching tournaments and getting far too invested in the Olympics every few years. An avid animal lover with a huge heart, Sara has been one of Winnie’s biggest sources of support through some of life’s most challenging moments. Whether it was making herself available late at night when anxiety kept Winnie awake or simply being there when she was needed most, Sara has always stood by her side. Sara is also responsible for some of Winnie’s favorite memories, including hosting the iconic "Jaw(s) Going Away Party" before Winnie moved to Australia. Over the years, Sara and her family have welcomed Winnie with open arms, making her feel like part of the family during countless Thanksgivings and Christmas celebrations. To Winnie, Sara is the big sister she never had but always wished for. Her friendship, generosity, and unwavering support have meant more than words can express.
