FAQs

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please let us know in your RSVP if you are vegetarian or have any severe food allergies (such as seafood, gluten, or nuts). Our 10-course menu features several seafood dishes, including lobster, abalone, and crab. We will do our best to coordinate with the restaurant to provide a safe and delicious alternative for you. Please note that dietary restrictions and allergy information will be collected during the formal RSVP process. If you are completing a pre-RSVP response, this question may not appear yet.

Question

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

Yes! Pearl Bay has a large, free surface parking lot directly in front of the restaurant. Since the venue is located in a shared commercial complex, there is plenty of space available. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to secure a spot close to the entrance.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We want everyone to look and feel their best! Think cocktail attire at a minimum; so please skip the jeans, shorts, and t-shirts for the night. BUT if you’ve been looking for an excuse to go completely all out in full black-tie or your favorite formalwear, please do!! We're totally here for the drama and highly encourage dressing up. Just a quick heads-up to avoid wearing all-white. Other than that, come ready to celebrate and eat a ton of good food!

Question

What is the difference between the Pre-RSVP and the Formal RSVP?

Answer

To help us coordinate a large family-style banquet, we are using a two-step response process: • The Pre-RSVP (Due by Jul 15th): This is just a quick, general headcount to help us with preliminary venue planning and budgeting. • The Formal RSVP (Due by Sep 1st): This will be your official, locked-in response where you will select your attendance status, note any strict dietary restrictions or food allergies, and allow us to finalize our exact seating charts.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Doors open at 6:00 PM, and we recommend getting there between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM. We know Chinese banquets are famous for running on "Asian timing," but please don't use that as an excuse to stroll in late! The first hour is for checking in, finding your table, mingling with everyone, and taking pictures. Since dinner is served family-style, the food is going to start coming out right after our grand entrance and the opening intro wrap up...whether your seat is filled or not. Definitely aim for 6:30 PM at the latest so you don't miss out on the first few courses!
