Zac and Maddie met during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic while living two blocks away from each other in Chinatown, Washington, D.C.

After a few months and three first dates, the stars (finally) aligned for Zac and Maddie to officially become a couple.

After a year of driving back-and-forth, Zac and Maddie moved to Philadelphia to enjoy a shorter commute to the shore.

Zac asked Maddie to marry him while the pair were vacationing in Midcoast Maine.
