Our dress code is garden formal and we ask that you opt for pastels or softer colors for family photos. Our ceremony will be held on grass so please plan your shoes accordingly.
October is one of the warmer months in the area. Carmel-by-the-Sea does cool off in the evenings so plan accordingly for the welcome dinner as it is outside with heaters. Carmel Valley is slightly warmer averaging around between 65-70 degrees. Our ceremony is outside but the reception will be indoors.
Our ceremony will start at 5pm, please plan accordingly.
We kindly ask you to refrain from taking photos during the ceremony to prevent interfering with our photographer. We will take family photos after the ceremony.
We ask that you reserve the first two seats for the parents of the couple. We suggest the bride's family sit on the left side and the groom's on the right for best viewing.
Our welcome dinner is in Carmel-by-the-sea which can be difficult to find street parking so give yourself extra time to find parking. Folktale has ample parking but we would recommend parking in the paved area if available due to proximity to the ceremony location.
In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, we are unable to accommodate anyone who is not listed on your invitation.
