Morgan and Jacob technically met at a life group, although “met” might be a strong word since Morgan had to leave early and was fully convinced Jacob didn’t even want to be there in the first place. A few weeks later, their life group served together at a church event called ThankServing, where they handed out Thanksgiving meals to families in the community. In a plot twist Morgan never saw coming, she noticed Jacob was one of the only people volunteering to pray over families — which completely changed her first impression of him. The two ended up talking in the back for a while, where Morgan quickly realized Jacob was one of the funniest people she’d ever met, and Jacob admired how outgoing and warm Morgan was. What started as an unexpected friendship quickly turned into several months of becoming best friends, spending more and more time together, and eventually going on their first date. The rest was pretty easy after that. Now they’re getting married, so clearly that church event worked out pretty well.
