Two years ago, Mary took a new job that changed her life in many unexpected ways. Born and raised in South Louisiana, this new job took Mary from New Orleans up to Chicago every other week. In that process, she formed a great friendship with a new colleague, Maggie. After needing to stay in Chicago over a long weekend to complete a project, Maggie and Jeff organized a boat trip for them and their family. Jeff invited one of his best friends, Matt. Little did Maggie, know Mary and Matt would hit it off so effortlessly. They immediately connected on Matt’s recent trip to New Orleans, and bonded over the city’s great food and fun. Mary was smitten. Two weeks later the suspense continued to grow. Everyone reunited at a Dave Matthew's concert in Alpine, Wisconsin to celebrate Maggie’s birthday. They continued to date each week Mary came up to Chicago, and it didn’t take long for Mary and Matt to fall in love. Music continued to play a role in their love story. This spring, Matt came to New Orleans for Jazz Fest and proposed to Mary. Over Sunday morning brunch at Seafood Sally’s, they mapped out how they wished to build a life together and what their commitment meant. That same day they picked out a ring together at a local vintage jewelry store. Not only did Mary find a new job, a new friendship with Maggie, but a new love and life partner as well. Mary and Matt's love grew from friends, from fun, from music and from a common love of New Orleans. They are thrilled to share these rich qualities that brought them together in their wedding weekend and ceremony.
