How We Fell in Love

First Comes Booze then Comes Marriage

Our first date occurred July 1, 2017 at Franks Pub. While neither of us frequented this bar it was decently close to both of our dwellings and it was late due to Amy, of course, being late and staying much to long at the beach with her friend and godmother. Although Kevin had high hopes for the date Amy was certain it was another "throw away date" and was in no rush to get to it. Unbeknownst to both of us that we were about to meet our future spouse. Amy remembers walking up to Kevin, of course he was there first, and thinking that he was much cuter than she thought which of course is a nice surprise! Kevin remembers thinking how lucky he was to be on a date with such a hot babe. We instantly connected and chatted the night away over a couple of brewskis. One of us may have accidentally had two beers and tripped over a chair but we will let you figure out which one of us that was... We realized quickly that Kevin teaches at the school district Amy graduated from, Waverly, and knows not only her godmother but also her friend who she happened to be at the beach with that day. After a great first date the rest is history and here we are about to become husband and wife! <3

The Proposal

12-8-18

Kevin and Amy went to Reverman Tree Farm to pick out their Christmas tree with their dog Bailey. Kevin had been asking Amy if she wanted to get a real Christmas tree since October so Amy's radar was up and secretly hoping for a proposal. Amy remembers seeing Kevin ready to go to the tree farm and he was wearing a button down, nice jeans, and nice shoes. She instantly put on makeup and a nicer top than the sweatshirt she previously had on slightly suspecting something. While at the tree farm Amy tried to sneak her hands into Kevin's pocket to warm up and he stopped that REAL quick since that was where he was keeping the ring. Eventually the perfect tree was found and cut down. Kevin kept "cleaning off the tree" and Amy kept asking what was taking him so long. He kept making up excuses and Amy kept looking around waiting for someone to pop out or something while Bailey was constantly tugging on her leash ready to go! Finally Kevin decided the tree was clean enough to take home and said "one more thing before we go" and got on his knees and proposed with the most beautiful vintage ring he and Amy had picked out together. Amy doesn't really remember a whole lot of the proposal she was to busy crying tears of joy and Kevin says she never even actually said "Yes" just stood their crying but regardless it was an amazing moment and one that will be cherished forever. Kevin had been cleaning off the tree because he was waiting for everyone to disappear and for us to share in a private moment together aka proposal. The folks at Reverman were so sweet took us on a carriage ride and gave us a free wreath to commemorate the day!
