We met working at Starbucks and didn’t think much of it at first. Over the course of a few months, we learned a lot about each other- often joking about how we're "basically the same person". That’s pretty much when we thought, “Okay. This could be something."
5:00 in the morning, we embarked on our journey to Orcas Island. We drove all the way to Anacortes, stopped at Starbucks, then boarded the hour long ferry to the Island. We drove up to Mount Constitution to check out the views we missed the previous year due to wildfires and visited our favorite coffee shop on the island for breakfast (we can't get enough coffee). Next, we took the ferry to Friday Harbor to explore somewhere new for both of us. We walked around town, had lunch along the water, then drove across the island to Roche Harbor where we explored the small resort. We were on our way back to the ferry when we pulled over on the side of the road at this beautiful lookout, the Westside Preserve. We walked down the trail a ways to take a picture of us, and the rest is history!
