Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are asking for your best formal wear please. We aren't asking for black tie, but something more than just casual wear. Our color story is deep jewel tones. We also would love to see floral prints. (The bride is not wearing white so fear not if your favorite floral dress is white with flowers.)

Are kids welcome?

Answer

This will be a child free event, the space is a music venue with a built in bar space. It is not the most child friendly venue, plus who doesnt enjoy a night away once in a while.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We have elected to not have a regristry, we just ask instead that whatever you intend to spend on a gift, you gift towards our honeymoon.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The Brightside offers plenty of parking between 3 different lots, due to being in downtown Dayton the parking in their main lot is limited however they offer additional parking next to the building and also across the street.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin around 4:30 pm, we recomend arriving around 4:00 pm and joining us in the upstairs loft for our ceremony.

Is there a way upstairs besides the stairs?

Answer

We understand the stairs up to the loft space for our ceremony is not accessible for all, thankfully The Brightside does offer a elevator along with an attendant to help indviduals using it.

Can I take photos during the wedding?

Answer

We would love to keep our ceremony unplugged. We ask you to come and celebrate in the moment with us and not through your screens. Worry not, we will have a photographer present to take wonderful photos. We more than welcome you to take photos during the cocktail hour and reception.

What will be served for dinner?

Answer

We actually have two very exciting food trucks for our dinner time. You’ll be able to pick from If You Cheese which is a pasta based truck or from What The Taco which is obviously taco based. We opted for food trucks to showcase a his and her style similar to custom drinks you see at other weddings and also to incorporate small local businesses as well.

Will there be assigned seating?

Answer

We will not have a seating plan for either the ceremony or the reception. our only seating preference is that you leave the front rows in our ceremony and the tables closest to the bride and groom be saved for our parents and close family.

IMPORTANT INFO

Answer

One of our guestbook options the bride and groom are very excited about. It is a small box with tabs for our guests to include many notes. The tabs include your favorite photos with the bride and/or groom, recipes you would love to share with them, your favorites memories with them, date ideas, marriage advice, and your wishes for the bride and groom. We encourage you to fill each slot if you want and you can inculde multiple things in each slot. Please consider this when attending and bring your favorite photos and recipes for us to place in the box. We will also include notecards with the box, but we hope to also see some letters and memories from all in attendance if you can!! We hope to find it full by the end of the night!!
