Although Chris and I knew each other from the young ages of 7 and 9, we didn’t actually talk or become friends until I was 18 and he was 20. During those “in between” years, Chris and I weren’t too fond of each other. He would describe me as the quiet nerd with weird friends and I would describe him as the cocky athlete that teased other girls. Fast forward to 2013, after seeing one of my Facebook posts, Chris decided I wasn’t that bad and started talking to me. We started talking every day and became best friends. Even though we kept up this friendship during my time in college, both of us knew we weren’t ready to date just yet; we both had so many areas to grow in. Finally in October 2018, God made it clear to each of us that this would be the person we would marry and we made it official. Through much prayer, Chris moved back to California and proposed to me six months later at Disneyland the day after my college graduation. I moved back home and we have been planning the details for the wedding ever since!
