Our school had four different lunch times, where your classroom was located in the school determined what lunch time you ate. He and I both had the same lunch and it wasn't in the main building, it was in one of the elective buildings where the cafeteria was much smaller so there wasn't many people that shared that lunch, it was a lot easier to spot someone. The first time I saw him, he instantly caught my eye but I wasn't ready to start dating or talking to anyone so I never really gave it much thought. He sat at a table with my friend Mikel who rode my bus, on the way home one day I randomly mentioned to Mikel that I thought this guy was attractive, not expecting him to say anything. Spoiler alert: he said something to him and the rest is history.
I booked him and I a trip to Chicago as his valentines present, it's somewhere we have always talked about going together. We flew down there the 13th, he was planning on proposing that valentines day but I accidentally messed his plans up by reserving us dinner at a not so nice looking place so it wasn't the right atmosphere. He decided not to do it that day and to wait, the next day he took me to Oak street beach so we could see the Lake Michigan while it was all snowy, he got down on one knee and proposed by the water. The view was absolutely breath taking and he couldn't have picked a more perfect spot.
