Question

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Answer

We have a guest attending the wedding with SEVERE allergies to lavender, and lavender scented things (perfume, hand sanitizer, cleaning products, etc). I completely understand the desire to freshen up that perfume throughout the wedding, but if it contains any lavender fragrance notes, PLEASE leave it at home. If you have any allergies, please let us know and we will do our best to ensure you don't come into contact with that allergen, and we will add it to this list to make sure everyone is on the same page :)

Question

When should I arrive to the area?

Answer

There is an optional Welcome Party/Rehearsal Dinner where all are invited on Friday February 28, 2025 that starts at 4pm-7:30pm. Dinner and drinks provided. The address is 277 Oak Dr S, Fleming Island, FL 32003 If you cannot make it to the welcome party, please make sure you can get to the ceremony no later than 3:30 pm on March 1.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

It is black tie optional. Formal wear highly encouraged. Save the jeans and tshirts for the welcome party. Suit jackets and slacks for men, although no need for tailed tuxedos. Ladies you can rock that pants suit or fancy it up with a formal gown. Please save that long white gown or stunning white cocktail dress for another occasion. If your still unsure, your nicest church clothes work just fine. Also, don't forget the dancing shoes!!

Question

Can I drive to the venue?

Answer

If you plan on enjoying the open bar, please don't drive. There are a lot of ubers/lyfts in the area. We HIGHLY encourage you to pre-book your ride service to the venue to make sure you get there on time. There will also be a shuttle service from the hotel to the venue, and a shuttle(s) from the venue back to the hotel towards the end of the receptions (more details to come).

Question

Is there anything special I need/know about on the day of the wedding?

Answer

Do not take any photos or phone calls during the ceremony. We LOVE our wedding photographer. Don't make her job harder by having to edit out your arms and phone from the shot of the bride walking down the aisle. After the ceremony, feel free to take all the photos you want!

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We love your kids, really we do. However, we have chosen to only allow immediate family to bring their kids.

Question

How will I get to the venue?

Answer

If you are staying at the hotel, Holiday Inn Express on Fleming Island, there will be a shuttle that will bring you to the venue (leaving at approximately 3pm). There will also be shuttles leaving at various times (unsure yet) during the reception to bring you back to the hotel from the venue.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions and will need a special meal at the wedding?

Answer

If the bride and groom do not already know about your food limitations, please reach out to them and we will make sure you are properly accommodated.
