We met at The Draft Bar & Grille in Liberty Township, Ohio on August 8th, 2014. We had mutual friends and we'd all hang out at The Draft on Thursday nights when I was in college. On this summer night, one of our mutual friends introduced us, but who knew this was the night I was going to meet my future husband?! We continued hanging out there on Thursdays nights for weeks after we met and really clicked. We had a lot in common such as: we both love Jesus, movies, concerts, King's Island, traveling and spending time with our friends and family. I was drawn to Kyle's baby blue eyes, perfect smile, and how much he could make me laugh in one night. I thought he was a dreamboat! Funny story, Kyle and I knew of each other for years before we met, because his best friends and one of my best friends went to the same high school (Butler Tech). Kyle and his friends would hang out with my best friend and I remember seeing pictures of them together one night. I messaged our mutual friend Kevin and told him I thought Kyle was so handsome! We later became Facebook friends but never spoke to each other until the night we met. Long story short, thank you friends!!
Kyle and I traveled to Phoenix, Arizona for Thanksgiving to visit his parents and brother. On November 26th, 2019 I was checking my email and eating oatmeal when his mom Sherry told me our plans for the day. She said she wanted all of us to go take some pictures in front of a beautiful fountain in their neighborhood. All of us got dressed for the day and walked to the fountain. Sherry took pictures of the guys first and then I took some of all of them together. She then said let me get some of you and Kyle and I said okay! She took a couple and then I wanted to get some without my glasses on. I turned around to put them behind me and when I turned back around Kyle was on one knee and said, "Will You Marry Me?". I love my ring! I was in shock!! I had no idea this was going to happen on our trip! They did a great job hiding this secret, because I had no idea it was coming, and it couldn't have been more romantic. Kyle told his mom months before that he wanted to propose while we were there, so he ordered the ring and got it sent to their house so he didn't have to travel with it. After the proposal we went back to the house so I could call my family to let them in on the big news! Then we all went out to eat lunch at a local 50's diner, because Kyle knows how much I love them and he wanted the day to be perfect. This was my favorite day and it couldn't have been more perfect!! Being engaged to my best friend for 7 months now has been a dream come true. Now my new favorite day will be here before we know it! I can't wait to become one! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you at Starlite Drive-In for the #WilsonDrive-InWedding!
