Garrett and I met at a happy hour in Belmont, California in August of 2015. Our friend groups hung out a lot, but we did not begin dating until a few months later during Thanksgiving break. We were planning to go Black Friday shopping for a casual hangout but since I couldn't get home from my grandma's until later that afternoon, Garrett decided to make it a real date. He picked me up from my parents' house to go to the Melting Pot for a 5-course dinner in downtown Sacramento. I was impressed to say the least and the rest is history! - Hannah

We got engaged in beautiful Costa Rica on June 23, 2019! I had been planning the proposal for several months, and decided it should take place at a special dinner - just the two of us. I chose a private gazebo that overlooked the golf course at our resort. We got to the dinner a little early and our waiter was still setting up - laying candles along the pathway, and sprinkling rose petals throughout the gazebo and around a beautiful table setting for two. I apologized for being early and we decided to walk down the path to grab a drink at the bar to wait it out. Hannah was highly suspicious now and kept looking at my pockets to see if I was carrying a box. When she didn’t see one, she began to question me and I flat out told her a proposal wasn’t happening. After I had her on the edge of tears, we walked back to the gazebo and took our seats. I got down on one knee, told my best friend I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her, and she said yes! We popped open the champagne and enjoyed our engagement dinner! - Garrett
